Kitara FC Kicks Off Title Bid Against Lugazi

Kitara FC is ready to make their mark in the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League season. The team finished fourth on the league table last season and also won the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Kitara FC will be heavily relying on the Uganda Cranes attacking duo of Dennis Omedi and Jude Ssemugabi, who were inspirational in the recent AFCON Qualifiers.

The team has also strengthened their squad with a number of new signings, including Titus Ssematimba, Fred Amaku, Ronald Otti, David Ndihabwe, Marvin Nyanzi, and Ivan Sserubiri.

Lugazi FC, another newly promoted team, is also preparing for the upcoming season. They have appointed new coach Sadick Sempigi and have made several new signings.

* Kitara FC: Striker Brian Aheebwa will miss the season opener due to a move to Ethiopia’s Arba Minch City. Defenders Benjamin Nyakoojo and Dudu Ramadan are also out with injuries.

The match between Kitara FC and Lugazi FC is scheduled for Monday. The match will be played at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.

Kitara FC will be aiming to start the season with a victory, while Lugazi FC will be looking to make a statement in their return to the top flight.
