Rebecca Cheptegui, a renowned Ugandan marathon runner who competed in the recent Paris Olympics, is currently fighting for her life in a hospital after a horrific domestic violence incident.
Her boyfriend, Daniel Ndiema Marangach, is accused of dousing her with fuel, resulting in severe burns that cover over 75% of her body.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, and Cheptegui remains in critical condition. Police are investigating the case and have arrested Marangach.
