The NEC FC management has made a strategic decision to retain Hussein Mbalangu as head coach for the 2024/25 season, following a comprehensive review of his performance.
The team’s sixth-place finish in the premier league and runner-up finish in the Stanbic Uganda Cup demonstrate Mbalangu’s ability to adapt to new challenges and lead a team to success.
Club Chairman Eng. Brian Buhanda emphasized that Mbalangu’s performance has been satisfactory, citing his ability to improve team performance over time.
Lieutenant General Brian Mugira, the club patron, also highlighted Mbalangu’s strengths as a leader, praising his tactical acumen and ability to motivate his players.
Mbalangu is already planning for next season, focusing on strengthening his squad through strategic signings and building a cohesive team unit.
