SC Villa marksman Charles Bbaale scored his 12th goal of the season as the record league champions beat Blacks Power at Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.
The goal put him level with Express’ Allan Kayiwa to set up a tight race for the coveted award for the best goal getters.
Bbaale however revealed that much as it would be an honor to emerge top scorer, it would mean nothing if he failed to win the trophy for SC Villa.
“I’d rather win the title than taking the golden boot because the prime target for everyone is the championship”
“Winning the boot would only be a bonus after being crowned champions”
Bbaale said
“I am overjoyed for today’s result but the greatest joy of all will come after Saturday’s match, when we finally win the league”
He added.
SC Villa will host URA FC on Saturday 27th at Wankulukuku and the kick off has been adjusted to 3:00pm.
