The University of the Western Cape (UWC) unleashed a torrent of goals, crushing Young Buffaloes 6-0 in a one-sided semifinal of the CAF Women’s Champions League | Cosafa Qualifiers.
The victory propelled UWC into the final, where they will face Gaborone United.UWC’s dominance was evident from the early stages, as they capitalized on a penalty awarded in the ninth minute.
Nondumiso Manengela confidently converted the spot-kick, setting the tone for the match.
The goals continued to flow for UWC, with Bongeka Gamede, Ntombifikile Ndlovu, Tiffany Kortjie, Koketso Mamabolo, and Sibulele Holweni all finding the net.
In the other semifinal, Gaborone United edged Herentals Queens 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Yaone Modise. The victory secured United’s place in the final against UWC.
