Tusker Secures Ojok, Momanyi Amidst Transfer Activity

Shabana FC is taking a proactive approach to solidify their midfield for the upcoming Kenyan Premier League season.

The newly promoted club has acquired experienced midfielder Cliff Nyakeya, formerly of AFC Leopards.

Nyakeya’s experience playing for Wazito FC, Mathare United, and even in Egypt brings valuable depth and tactical options to Shabana’s midfield.

With relegation a very real threat, Nyakeya’s leadership and skills will be crucial.

Tusker FC, on the other hand, is navigating the transfer window with a mix of sentiment and pragmatism.

While they’ve released 11 players like Eric Kapaito and Daniel Sakari, they’ve chosen to retain core members captain Charles Momanyi and Ugandan striker Deogratious Ojok.

Momanyi, a key player for three seasons, overcame injuries to showcase his leadership and goal-scoring ability in the closing stages of last season.

Ojok, despite battling injuries, impressed with his finishing, scoring five goals and assisting three in just 13 appearances.

He aims to stay fit and become a more consistent goal threat this season.
