Aucho will be out of action for several weeks after sustaining an injury during the match against Al Ahly.

News has emerged that Khalid Aucho, the midfielder of Uganda Cranes, has recently undergone a minor knee surgery.

It is expected that he will be out of action for around three weeks.

This unfortunate incident occurred during the CAF Champions League match between Yanga and Al Ahly, in which Yanga lost 1-0 in Cairo.

The Tanzanian champions have officially confirmed that Aucho will miss several games as a result of the surgery.

Aucho played a crucial role for Yanga in all of their six group games, and the team has now qualified for the CAF Champions League quarterfinals for the first time ever.

However, despite his starring role, Aucho may now miss the quarterfinals, which are scheduled to begin with first legs at the end of this month.

Yanga qualified as Group D runners up, and will potentially face Petro Atletico de Luanda (Angola), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), or Ivory Coast’s ASEC Mimosas.

Furthermore, Aucho will also miss Uganda’s upcoming friendly games during this month’s international break.

It is unfortunate news for both Yanga and Uganda Cranes, but we hope that Aucho recovers quickly and returns to the field soon.
