Defending champions Vipers struggle to eliminate minnows Rugarama on Penalties

 

Stanbic Uganda Cup defending champions Vipers SC, Young Simba and FUFA Big League table leaders Police became the first teams to progress to the round of 16.

The Venoms won 5-4 on penalties after there was no winner after 90 minutes against Rugarama FC.

Abubakali Walusimbi scored for Vipers and Joseph Kayondo was on target for Rugarama FC.

Buganda Regional League entity Young Simba FC eliminated Mbogo United FC 3-1 in spot kicks following a two all draw.

Frank Mugisha and Sula Ssenabulya who scored in his own net were the goal scorers for Young Simba FC.

Asaph Ssegujja and Abudurazak Kirumira scored for the Kampala Regional League entity Mbogo United FC.

Isaac Ogwang scored twice in Police FC’s 3-0 victory against Eastern Regional League side Busei FC.

The third goal was scored by Gabriel Elagu.

Action continues today Friday 16th February with two games.

Kitara FC hosts Gadaffi FC at Masindi and as Kyetume FC will face off with Iganga Young FC at Iganga Ssaza grounds.
