The FUFA Women Super League returns on Wednesday afternoon as Kampala Queens host Kawempe Muslim at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
The game is without a doubt touted as the biggest women’s football match currently with Kawempe Muslim being the most decorated side in the game while their counterparts are the reigning champions.
The previous encounters between both sides were more of a one-sided affair until April 2022 when Kampala Queens earned their first ever victory over their illustrious opponents.

Kawempe once again emerged victorious after edging Kampala Queens 5-4 in a dramatic penalty shoot out following a 1-1 draw at full-time in the Women Elite League playoff semi final at Lugogo.
Former Kawempe utility player Lillian Akello scored for Kampala Queens but Tracy Jones Akiror found a late equalizer.
Goalkeeper Juliet Adeke saved Winnie Babirye’s penalty to ensure victory. Akiror, Aisha Nantongo, Juliet Nalukenge, Grace Aluka and Brenda Nakayenga scored for Kawempe.
Aisha Namukisa, Damali Matama, Gladys Nakitto and Zaina Namuleme scored for Kampala Queens who bowed out in tears.

Another dominant and scintillating performance from Kawempe saw a 5-1 win over Kampala Queens in the quarter finals of the FUFA Women’s Cup at Kabojja.
Youngsters Phiona Nabbulime, Agnes Nabukenya, Shakira Nyinagahirwa and Allen Nassazi alongside their captain Aisha Nantongo scored for Kawempe. Lukia Namubiru’s 36th minute goal turned out to be a mere consolation.
