Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen fancies a move to Chelsea

It’s been reported that Napoli star striker Victory Osimhen would prefer to join Chelsea ahead of Arsenal and Spurs, as the Nigerian continues to attract major interest from Premier League sides.

The Napoli star has been one of Europe’s most in-demand strikers in the last couple of seasons and looks set to leave the reigning Serie A champions in the near future.

After being linked with club’s such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Spurs, it’s now been reported that he would prefer a move to Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.

According to Evening Standard journalist Nizaar Kinsella, Osimhen ‘always loved’ Chelsea amid interest from various English clubs.

“It’s a bad market for strikers in January, and Osimhen is the striker that everyone wants. There’s no point in getting another young one now,” Kinsella said, as per TBR Football.

“He’d be a great fit, and Chelsea like him. Osimhen likes Chelsea, I had the information for a little while.

“He’s always loved Chelsea, loved Drogba. They’ve got some similarities. He’d be interested in Manchester United, but they’re not going to sign a striker.

“It’s basically Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs competing in the battleground and Osimhen would probably pick Chelsea out of three.”
