Busoga United captain Mulandain trouble for headbutting Referee

 

The FUFA Disciplinary Panel has summoned Busoga United captain Charles Sunday Mulanda for head-butting Referee Gerard Tumusiime.

Mulanda head-butted the referee after he had been sent off in added time of Busoga United’s 1-0 win over Gaddafi on match-day five of the Uganda Premier League at Gaddafi Arena in Jinja on Tuesday.

Isaac Doka Mweru scored the all important goal as Busoga cruised to their second win of the current league campaign.

Following the incident, Mulanda has been asked to submit a written statement to clarify, contend or dispute his actions as it was state in the referee’s match report.

The Busoga United skipper has to submit a statement to the FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) by Thursday, 26th October 2023 before 5Pm local time.
